Everyone slept in a bit today, although Janie and Dad have a stateroom next to a family with young kids who were up at 6:30 a.m. The kids having an inside cabin are in a cave with no noise and way to know time. We were surprised when they all made it up at 9 a.m. to head to the Windjammer Café for a breakfast brunch.
Drake headed to the gym and then Solarium (on board inside pool like the Caribbean) to read and then play volleyball. Logan and Sara headed out to play bingo,

while Janie read. Dad caught up the blog and then headed to the gym. The gym looks out over the bow of the ship and has everything you could want for a good workout. Between walking the ship (taking the stairs), excursions and shore exploring we hope to offset the many calories being eaten with the 24 by 24 food. Dad, Logan, Sara and Janie met for lunch at the Skyview Café for a great lunch of hot sandwiches and huge bread bowls of clam chowder. Logan, Sara and Janie then went and changed and headed to the gym but had to make a quick stop for an ice cream cone along the way. Logan and Janie seem to be having an ice cream cone run for who can eat the most!! Logan is ahead so far I believe. An afternoon was spent reading for Janie, napping for Sara and Logan and Dad hanging out watching a documentary on Alaska. Drake hooked up late afternoon for a pizza stop with Dad and Logan and then he was off with his new buddies. Janie joined Logan and Dad for ping pong and Logan continued beating Janie but she was close for many of the games. Dad took over to shut Logan down.

At 7 we all met at the rooms and got in our formal gear for a night on the ship. Starting with the Captains Welcome Cocktail party and then off to Dinner. Drake and Logan tried the Escargot that Janie ordered and loved it. Drake got another order for himself. We enjoyed a nice bottle of Castle Rock Pinot with dinner and of course finished with desert. Then we headed to the theater for the show. Piano Man was the performance. A lot of songs by Elton John, Billy Joe and others. At almost midnight it was time to pack it in, but not sure when Drake pulled in since he took off from dinner to meet up with Friends. Tomorrow is our first port Ketchikan, AL. Dock at 7:00 a.m. with breakfast at 8. We have coverage so look for another update late today....
